i heart....dogs

chinese new year is on sunday, february 18th. that means we only have one day left to celebrate the year of the dog. i will do so by dedicating this post to my favorite animal and by asking, what kind of dog are you? go here and take the CATS test (Canine Algorithmic Transfer System*). if you love me you'll post your results in the comments section.
i'd also like to congratulate james "diamond jim" for winning the coveted best in show trophe at the westminster dog show earlier this week. isn't he gorgeous?! not only was i extremely relieved that one of those stressful "poodle" creatures didn't win, but that a spaniel took home the gold. way to go diamond jim!
a dog post wouldn't be complete if i didn't take a moment to appreciate the beauty and cuteness of my little lady lou. we've been together for almost 2 weeks now and i am in love. like james she is a member of the spaniel family, he a springer, she a king charles. as you can see by the image of james he is smooth, perfect, flawless. but in my opinion what makes little lou so darn cute is what i was told are considered her "flaws" (which include a mohawk, freckled nose, whiskers and an overbite). in any case i am very happy for james for his victory and also for not having an a-hole name like most champion dogs.

speaking of a-holes, marmaduke explained is one of the funnier things i have come across in a while. this guy takes a very lame comic strip and makes it hilarious simply by explaining why it is not funny. i love joe mathelete. if you like it, i have included the link as part of my "nice ones" section on the right so you can check it out regularly through ifive.
